Happy Holidays!

Hello Fellow nonProfit Marketers,
In 2019, I attended a professional development luncheon featuring Angie Winschel, a professional I greatly admired. Although the introvert in me wasn't a fan of networking events, I was intrigued enough to attend and am grateful I did. I was blown away by the caliber of content Angie delivered, the warm sense of community among peers, and my enthusiasm to share what I learned with my team. This luncheon, hosted by Community Services Public Relations Council (now known as Nonprofit Marketers Network) changed the course of my career.
Shortly thereafter, I volunteered to serve on the Spectrum Conference planning committee. I was asked to be a speaker at Spectrum a few weeks later. By the end of the year, I had officially joined the Board of Directors. All of these were first-time professional development opportunities that became foundational for my career growth.
Nonprofit Marketers Network is a volunteer-run organization, and it’s hard to believe how much this small-but-mighty group achieves every single year as we educate, inspire, and connect nonprofit professionals in St. Louis. My time as Board President comes to an end in a few weeks, and I will hand over leadership to two women I have been honored to serve alongside: Brittni Snidle and Jenny Beatrice. As the organization continues to evolve and explore new ways to drive value for our community, I am confident they will shine brightly.
Thank you to every person who serves on Nonprofit Marketers Network’s board or committees, attends programs and events, and engages through membership. Building authentic relationships keeps our community and sector strong … keep showing up for each other!
With gratitude,
Shannon Durio
Check out this Year in Review!
As the year ends, let's take a moment to appreciate all that Nonprofit Marketers Network promoted in 2024. From our Creative Collective series of small-group collaborative events to the insightful and inspiring sessions that made Spectrum 2024 one of the most valuable conferences of the year, we had multiple opportunities to learn and grow together. Your creativity and teamwork strengthen the important impact we all make in the St. Louis community. Let’s keep building momentum in 2025!
